Good news for those of you who have a new PS5 and still want to use your old PS4 controller: the DualShock 4 works with Sony's next-gen console.
That means you can use it to play PS5 games as well as play PS4 games via backwards compatibility. You'll also need a DualShock 4 controller to play PS VR games on the PS5, although you'll need a separate, optional adapter.
Not every function will work out of the box, however. While you can use a DualShock 4 to navigate the main PlayStation 5 interface, you won't be able to use it for remote play or PlayStation Now streaming — two features that allow you to stream some games from the PS5 to another device.
Looking to pick up a DualShock 4? They're available on GemControllers for $29.99.
